  • Inside Sales Agent / Customer Service

    Major Responsibilities

    • Assist quick customer turn around by providing superior service as required.
    • Cross sell and up sell truck mounted accessories including PTO, Pumps, Control Valves, Snowplows, Spreaders & Salters to new and existing customers.
    • Prepare quotations and process orders for customer inquiries generated through telephone, emails, fax and walk-in customers.
    • Use vendor supported online tools to meet customer application requirements.
    • Validate returns and process as per the company policy.
    • Route returns for warranty claims to the designated product manager.
    • Work in conjunction with Product Managers and Territory Managers to sell and design systems
    • Liaison with accounts receivables for credit approvals while processing orders.
    • Review open and backorders daily to meet customer delivery time and expectations

    Additional

    • Place rush orders for parts from Vendors as per the corporate purchasing policy.
    • Participate in vendor and in-house training to develop product knowledge.
    • Communicate any inventory variance to the assigned product manager to manage accurate product stock.

    Qualifications – Educational Requirements

    • College Diploma or combination of experience and academic achievement
    • Capable of completing product training courses
    • Completion of or working towards a certificate in Hydraulics
    • Friendly with computers and comfortable working with ERP tools such as Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
    • Basic English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
    • Bi-lingual in French considered an asset.


    Qualifications – Knowledge

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Hydraulics working principles in both mobile and industrial applications, with emphasis to mechanical principals
    • Knowledge of truck mounted equipment, such as snow and ice control systems, Driveline systems and components in both mobile and industrial applications
    • Working knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to interpret and work with AutoCad / Solid Works drawings.

  • Territory Manager

    Drive Products is in search of a Territory Manager to join our growing team in British Columbia. As Territory Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships while developing and growing Drive Products - Upfitting & Distribution divisions and associated brands that include Voth Truck Bodies, Kargo King Roll-Off Systems, Bigmax Roll-Offs, Tradesman Tool Boxes and other world class brands. This role comes with the understanding that growth and development of your assigned territory is a main objective. Territory Sales Managers can be based anywhere within the specified sales territory, with regular visits to your local Drive Products branch. 


    As a Territory Manager, you are responsible for being knowledgeable of the assigned territory and the Drive Products suite of products. These responsibilities include: 

    • All identified truck body and equipment product lines 
    • Understanding the marketplace and potential for each product along with complementary product lines 

    Other responsibilities include contacting new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services; emphasizing product features based on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations. 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • A strong willingness to learn. 
    • Exceptional Customer Service and Selling skills 
    • A valid driver’s license. 
    • Truck Equipment experience (min. 3 years) or equivalent automotive sales background.
    • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and sell value. 
    • Demonstrated time-management / organizational skills within a fast-paced environment. 
    • Able to prioritize conflicting responsibilities with a detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. 
    • Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Outlook Email, MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint 
    • Organizational skills – ability to build weekly plan and make high number of calls per week with help of manager. 
    • Ability to travel in assigned territory. Overnight travel as necessary to make requisite sales calls.

    Responsibilities will include processing orders using a computerized shipping system, organizing and prioritizing orders for picking, communicating with other department’s shipment status, and other shipping/receiving duties as required.


    The ideal candidate will have the following:
    •    Shipping/receiving experience preferred, but will train the right candidate with no warehouse experience.
    •    Experience using computerized shipping/receiving systems preferred (i.e. UPS, Vanguard), as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    •    Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Shop Technician - Truck Shop

    Job Purpose

    The primary purpose of this position is to perform the installation, assembly, and servicing of truck mounted systems, including but not limited to, hydraulics, driveline and snow and ice control systems.

    Major Responsibilities

    •    Install, assemble, and repair truck mounted equipment with identified components, drawings, work orders and vendor manuals.
    •    Troubleshoot, diagnose, and advise on possible repairs.
    •    Through the Shop Supervisor or Branch Manager, assist in quoting customers for repairs and installation.
    •    Machine, form, and weld supporting components as required.
    •    Use all identified and required tools and equipment in the installation and repair of truck mounted equipment.
    •    Complete all inspection / test / verification activities as listed on documented Truck Shop Procedures.
    •    Ability to read blueprints.

    Additional Responsibilities

    •    Workplace is to be kept neat, tidy, and organized.
    •    Equipment is to be maintained and calibrated per the documented schedule and at the request of the immediate supervisor.
    •    Communicate with internal staff as required.
    •    Recommend Process improvement.
    •    Participate in training.
    •    Compliance with all internal Policies and Procedures including, but not limited to, Health and Safety and Quality Management.
    •    Compliance with all regional legislation including Occupational Health and Safety, Transport Canada’s Motor Vehicle Safety Standards Act.


    Qualifications – Licensing / Educational Requirements
    •    2-3 years of experience and/or training in an automotive / truck shop or equivalent combination of education and experience
    •    Welding certificate is a valued asset.

     

    Qualifications – Knowledge
    •    Knowledge of Hand, Air and Measuring tools
    •    Knowledge of Welding
    •    Knowledge of industry standard machinery and equipment used in a truck shop environment.

    •    Ability to communicate well with both external customers and internal staff.
    •    Ability to prioritize and organize tasks in order to meet deadlines.
    •    Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

    Working Conditions

    The working condition of the truck shop requires repetitive tasks that are physically demanding.  These tasks require manual dexterity, attention to detail; hand-eye co-ordination, bending, drilling, hammering and heavy lifting.  All safe work practices must be adhered to.  Overtime hours may be required based on operational needs.
